Siobhan dances in the subtle light of my imagination…I am looking at her trying to assess what to do with her, but she’s looking through me…I can see she’s not satisfied either.  I close my own eyes and try not to see the truth…there are scars and wounds, and through this rise and fall she has never been an easy friend…so why are we here talking to each other again, sigh.  Under the crinkle of my brow and the shadow of my own hands I look for the proper motivation…I lift my head and with a sincere gaze establish my reign, and wipe away Siobhan’s insolence…her image fades finally, all the smoke and mirrors dissolve and I am no longer denied.  I am nonetheless still stuck…almost there…but not close enough to feel released from the deep of my limitations, and with this I give up – at least for the moment.  I will try again tomorrow…

Insolence

About Lawrence Lewis

I do a number of things professionally...but most of all and the true purpose of what I do through "my work" is to provide for my family, be a good husband and great father, and try to make a difference as a world citizen...I guess it's not much more complicated than that 🙂
