I get caught up in some moments with my children.  Funny how a few things resonate with us…no real reason for one instance versus others…maybe it’s just at that particular second we’re paying closer attention to our life and the important little people in it – ignoring the distractions.  It can be simplest event or interaction too, sometimes you’re just watching and you just see the magic in your child in something they do or the way they play…in the way they process the world and show you they ‘get it’.  Life, I think children understand, is to simple to be that complicated…I am not sure when that reality shifts and gets inverted for them and it’s a little sad that innocence is eventually lost. But my four year old understands that ‘play’ is the best way to process all the worries and complications and events of the world around her.  She understands at some level that play brings people together, creates bonds and creates places of safety and certainty…and generally leads to laughter.  I think she is often confused by the lack of ‘play’ underway…it’s a valid consideration when you really think about it.  What better way to create your own paradise…to create brightness and bring bliss to your world.  We should all play more often and take note of the lessons granted to us as children…play with others; find laughter in your actions; pretend and believe the outrageous…and at every opportunity set the terms for our own happiness.
