I had a dream last night little man and you were in it…in fact you were the dream.  We created this book together you and I.  It was massive and with big thick pages that we turned together…and as we babbled to each other the pages white canvas filled with the pictures of what we were telling each other.  Together we filled this book with pages of illustrations of our story…sometimes we struggled with the story and found it hard to turn the page. Other times we laughed and filled the page instantly and quickly started another…and sometimes we lingered to make sure the message conveyed was received by the other.  I don’t remember all the images and pictures and accounts but I suspect what’s more important was the journey together…what really seemed to matter was the exchange, the collaboration…finding the meaning you know is going to change everything.  Together with each pages expression of our banter, we revealed a thousand shades of something new…amended wrongs with new understanding, created moments of clarity and purpose, confirmed a shared spirit and soul, found places to rejoice…and laughed to make it matter.  It seemed we created this book for hours…and then I realized your voice had faded and you had fallen asleep…and as I closed our book the dream faded and I fell into a deep and restful contented sleep.  Thank you little man…I love you.

About Lawrence Lewis

I do a number of things professionally...but most of all and the true purpose of what I do through "my work" is to provide for my family, be a good husband and great father, and try to make a difference as a world citizen...I guess it's not much more complicated than that 🙂
