Fine lights in the beautiful night sky…there are no shooting stars that I see…just a milky blanket of light making its way from edge of the horizon to the other.  I can feel the world spinning from the soles of my feet right through to the tips of my fingers – pushing me skyward…the struggle of gravity pulling me back to earth…the reel of the universe plays out before me far, so far above me.   Some nights I wish the secrets of all those tiny sparkling lights would whisk me away and reveal whatever it is they are…but most nights I am happy to simply let their mystery wash over me and let my imagination get the better of me…and I am content to just be and would cover my eyes at the reveal of their secrets.  There is much life here to live yet…too much joy and promise to turn away from – seems foolish to be always pushing away from the ties that bind…so I turn my eyes from the heavens and delight in everything that is before me.

About Lawrence Lewis

I do a number of things professionally...but most of all and the true purpose of what I do through "my work" is to provide for my family, be a good husband and great father, and try to make a difference as a world citizen...I guess it's not much more complicated than that 🙂
