The modern wisdom goes something like this…always give a roses to the women in your life when they least expect it.  I suppose it has something to do with making a lasting impression…the origins though of giving roses comes from the practice of servant children returning home after extended absences and collecting wild roses along their returning journey to give to their mothers…not sure how we managed to get from that to the modern wisdom and notions of giving roses today, lol.  No matter really…it seemed appropriate with my imminent extended absence from home to give the two special ladies in my life each a rose before I left…and while this may seem to overturn and up heave traditions present, past or otherwise.  All I know is that every time I walk out that door for work or some other purpose it could very well be the last time…and this time before I left I wanted to mark that departure with something beautiful and poignant…not because I know what tomorrow will bring, but because I have no idea.
