There must be something in the water…and despite every appearance, it’s not likely that we’ll live forever…still the shaded eyes take far too long to make a decision, and the irritation at the table is increasingly humorous. It’s now or never to be all in, we all under stand this with the short stack out front…the end is undeniable and the percentages don’t lie…unfortunately, and perhaps a little sadly, shaded eyes fail to comprehend that their sitting on zero percent. Frustrating for those who have missed the math…and since playing the dark horse makes the rest of us smile at the foolishness, and even more so with the expert shuffling of chips…the cards are played and the river long since sealed the deal. It’s a thing to know the end is imminent…to know that no matter what course of action you take, and no matter how much you might posture, believe or wish otherwise…sometimes your fate is sealed before that last card is even played. Still, the beautiful part I have come to appreciate is the nuance of hope…that belief, despite every evidence to the contrary, that beating the odds is possible…so, when life leaves you with just a few chips left – go all in – and finish as if any outcome is possible.
