We walked through the day mostly content and pleased…little soft hands and stories, smiles and almond milk foam mustaches – with promises and strategies how to withhold the truths soon to be wrapped in Christmas paper and placed under the tree when asked by Mom…we role play with tickles, a little trickery and all the seriousness we can muster – I hold little hope that we’ll keep these secrets contained for the next three days, lol.  People shuffle by and sometimes they smile at us and others are oblivious – not that it really matters – and I am not sure why I even notice…we continue to do our thing and find all the joy we can in it.  Later we spend the rest of the day mostly at floor level hiding under blankets, jumping on each other, and a very serious and prolonged effort at building an oval train track for Thomas…but give up and turn to iPads and iPhones to dress princesses and throw some angry birds…with the occasional mock torment to reveal what’s hidden under the tree.  It was a great day and maybe just maybe…the reveal of the presents will make it to Christmas morning…or not.
