Malahat Nation is constructing a new cultural resource centre and has recently given it the name Kwunew Kwasun which translated means “Catch a Star”.  This Centre is envisioned as a place for the community to learn, to teach values, re-build culture, and provide books and other educational resources. This unique facility, which is designed to bring multigenerational programming and educational opportunities to the community, will focus on literacy development and preschool programming.

In order to move the project from plan to reality, the Malahat Nation is hosting a fundraiser. The primary purpose of the fundraiser is to raise money for the Centre, with a secondary goal to raise money for an endowment fund to guarantee that the plans we lay today are achievable tomorrow.

Your support either by attending the Gala, sponsoring or giving a contribution will make all the difference in bringing this important facility to fruition…this is your opportunity to change the world and help a child “Catch a Star”.
