If there are secrets to a good life…then the secrets to a great life must indeed be the holy grail of these pursuits. Every morning I wake and the first thing that registers in my newly minted conscious mind are the images of you both: Alex and Kate. Sometimes the vivid recollections of your antics the night before…and sometimes they are the heart warming images of that first day you came in to our arms – when we became a family…they are always beautiful images that make me smile all the way to the core of my being. These images along with the same for your mom, are the foundation of each and every day before I even get out of bed…they set the tone and purpose for everything I will do that day…and reinforce everything that is important to me – the integrity of my life. In my view, this is my secret to a great life…you are…and while this may not necessarily transfer directly as wisdom to you, it does convey it’s essence. Finding the secret to a great life is never farther than a love and appreciation and pursuit of those first images that pop in to your mind every single morning.
