I am not sure how the cycle gets broken…funny that in order for something to be fixed it first needs to be first broken…the metaphor at first blush however is somewhat flawed. You’ll find an older generation – remnants of my generation and our parents – which tend to focus on picking up broken pieces…never quite permitting what needs to be fixed be broken enough to be reconstructed in a different and perhaps better form. Instead exhausting great energy and treasure reconstructing a past…walking on egg shells afraid to offend senses when that is exactly what they should be doing…and fighting over idealize memories of yesterday as if it really mattered in defining tomorrow. The flaw is that change happens regardless…most times a quiet revolution to change human kind continuously unfolds with our passive endorsement and with deliberate purpose indoctrinates each and everyone of us…while the cherished way of life dies a death of a thousand tiny little cuts and doesn’t even know it…and in doing so reconstructs humanity in its new image.
