Deep in my sleep it all comes down to the wire…the whisper of voices becomes a chorus of deafening echoes…and that beautiful face in the mirror decides to stay another day.  The voices pan off and find the melody of a horsehair bow pulled across four strings tuned in perfect fifths…shadows dance and coalesce behind the face and then slowly absorbs her too…light pushes through, darkness is removed, and she is forced to remember and smiles – swaggers to its own tune – and chooses life.  It’s an odd dream, and it lingers every time…but it moves me again and again, and I wonder what it means…even so I smile too, because for some reason I take it as an affirmation and it leaves me peaceful.

About Lawrence Lewis

I do a number of things professionally...but most of all and the true purpose of what I do through "my work" is to provide for my family, be a good husband and great father, and try to make a difference as a world citizen...I guess it's not much more complicated than that 🙂
