A great mind…a sign of intelligence…is the ability to hold two opposed ideas at the same time, and still be able to function. The natural world in which we exist has, it turns out many truths that conflict with each other…and while this may be very dissatisfying on some level…your ability to understand this complex universe will be essential. Consider these examples…your eyes always see your nose but your mind chooses to ignore it and erase it from your sight…and something far more complex, Schrodinger’s Cat – where a cat unseen in a box with poisonous gas pumped in, can be considered to be both alive and dead all at the same time. The point Kate & Alex is that there will always be many truths to your interpretation of your world…how you see and experience your life will be governed by voluminous and varied forces, assumptions and interpretations, and even basic human functions and chemical reactions – not mention the natural laws that govern your very existence right down to the atoms on the tip of your invisible nose…none of which may be more real or authentic than any other experienced, supposed or imagine path. What will matter more is your ability to coalesce all the moments of your life in any instance…make sense of it, find beauty and purpose in its illustration despite the obvious and subtle contradictions AND what can’t be seen…and continue on happy and content in the knowledge that at least in that moment everything makes sense.

About Lawrence Lewis
I do a number of things professionally...but most of all and the true purpose of what I do through "my work" is to provide for my family, be a good husband and great father, and try to make a difference as a world citizen...I guess it's not much more complicated than that 🙂
