Take a deep breath…and I look back at the guy in the mirror…I think it’s strange that he’s looking back at me and smiling.  Then when I think he’s finally going to tell a story, he simply turns and leaves…I am not sure who’s following who as we vanish at the edge of the mirror…not sure when we might reconvene, and I think that all he ever does is look back at me and never says a word.  I realize that I have lost the edge…and I can’t make him tell a story if there is not a story to tell…and so, we do this thing, struggling to make the other find the words for the tale that so desperately needs to be told.  The resolve I understand is mine to find…and maybe next time I should say something to the man in the mirror instead of waiting for him to find the courage…maybe then the story would finally be told.
