Each day comes and goes…it seems to add up…it must, I am certain.  As the ferry pulls away from the dock and the horizon falls smaller…it feels like I am leaving a day behind and heading toward another…and it reminds me that what is approaching is as much unknown as known.  This ride on this small vessel across this calm passage is a testament to that…nothing could have convinced me yesterday that this would be part of my present day…yet here I am, along for the ride of my life, so to speak.  I might do well to ponder the mystery of such things….how the days unfold and in reflection seem so perfectly mapped to our present destination…I suspect though that like the currents ebbing and flowing the direction of this boat, we are less in control over our futures than we would care to admit.

About Lawrence Lewis

I do a number of things professionally...but most of all and the true purpose of what I do through "my work" is to provide for my family, be a good husband and great father, and try to make a difference as a world citizen...I guess it's not much more complicated than that 🙂
