You are only 6…which is so hard to believe, because it seems my lifetime. Imagine I think, what the next 6 years will bring, and then six after that…and so on…incredible lifetimes – I hope – that will be no less incredible and beautiful and inspiring than the last. And still, I wonder as I watch those little fingers passionately press white keys and proudly create music and song – on my cell phone camera from another province (and feeling so very far away)…with all the wonders and discoveries of your life yet to be revealed…will you find every tomorrow as purposeful and wonderful as you demonstrate this day, and will I be able to share in them with you. I suppose this is every fathers worry…and no less so because it is shared…and perhaps even more so because a daughter is so dear. You are incredible…and thank you for sharing with me this morning…I am very proud of you Kate.
