A special shout out to the bright light on the Malahat today…who thought it was a good idea to let her dog sit on her lap while doing 110km up the windy mountain highway…at least until he leaped from your fully open drivers side window and was promptly struck and killed by the vehicles behind you. Then to fully clarify your stupidity bring your SUV to a stop a half-mile up the road, around a corner and still in the outside side lane…no pulling off the highway…no hazard lights – just you leaping from your vehicle in the middle of three lane highway on a busy long weekend…nearly causing any number of other possible fatal car accidents. What came next truly illuminated your lack of intelligence and character. Once having seen your beloved pet, now road kill, promptly turned around and the left the task to removing the remains to a total stranger…AND THEN, having retreated back to your vehicle, climbed in…and without the slightest hesitation invited dog no.2 on to your lap and hastily sped away! So, thank you for highlighting an otherwise wonderful BC Day long weekend with your total disregard for the safety and care of others…for your complete failure in representing humanity…and reminding me that the stupid are the biggest threat to our civilization.
