Wind blows across the lake and the trees below the gathering sway in silence…voices mingle and laughter emerges in memory of a lost friend, brother and father…a few souls survey from quiet points of grief, occasionally taking and giving hugs – solemnly wiping away private tears and sadness behind sunglasses.  A young boy purposefully presses the life out of a honey bee…unaware of his compounding affect on the fragility of human-kind…above a lonely crow calls out, as if sounding the alarm. Eyes look skyward searching for reason and answers…it causes a moment of silence and stirs the most noble and brave of all of us to step forward…his wife.  She tells stirring and joyous tales of a life well lived…and then sings three beautiful songs…reminding us all of this place – our temporary home.

About Lawrence Lewis

I do a number of things professionally...but most of all and the true purpose of what I do through "my work" is to provide for my family, be a good husband and great father, and try to make a difference as a world citizen...I guess it's not much more complicated than that 🙂
