Who doesn’t love a fortune cookie? I think the best thing a fortune cookie accomplishes is remind us that we are wonderful people and that despite our version of events…the story of our lives and where tomorrow is taking us…we can read all about it a short one sentence testament. If you let it…it can be your fresh start, or your affirmation and even your decision maker or truth seeker…you can make it what ever you need it to be – and you should. It seems to me that if you are a person of faith (and you are free to define this in anyway, form or function you choose)…and I believe we all are – that in fact we have to be to negotiate this crazy world we live in…we are given every thing we need a thousand times a day to make our lives grand, meaningful and full of purpose. Whether it’s a hug from your children, a smile from a complete stranger, or a thousand other instances seemingly to trivial to acknowledge and yes, even the occasion fortune cookie fortune matters…the magic is taking them all in, and letting these moments adjust the tiller on your boat of life…just enough to make a difference in the course of your journey through it all.
