Forgive me now in advance for being a little intense and overly dramatic when it appears to me that you have come off the rails…it’s really not my intent to be someone who will run yelling the ‘sky is falling’ or there are ‘wolves in the field’ unless it’s truly already self evident. Still, the truth of the matter is that the wolves are always circling and the sky is always on the verge of collapse…and it’s best to be prepared and understand this reality early on. Be wary of those which would have you believe that you are already perfect – there is not such thing and it’s a fool errand because to assume as much is to admit that you have nothing left to achieve and unprepared to grow with each new day…they will also affirm your drama and console you in all right ways to promote your self-destruction – sometimes because they don’t know any better, sometimes because your failure is their glee…but mostly because they really don’t care. I will not be one of them – I am your father. I will be the shout from the dark that startles you when you are not alright and tells you to battle for something different and better…that reminds you are my fire burning so bright and you are meant for something more substantial and meaningful…you are my warrior child and I expect you to act accordingly.
