Just down the street there is a family who can’t afford to feed their children and little further away some children without parents who care…a few hours away there is a community collapsing because their infrastructure is failing, schools are closing and water is too poisonous to drink…and even a little further away – just turn on the news – there are people being brutally persecuted by their governments and religious zealots.  And so I ask you…what are you doing to fulfill your obligations for a better planet and world to live? To have all these advantages and opportunities before you…so easy to grasp and exploit for whatever purpose you desire is not only a blessing – it’s also your obligation.  To then chose mediocrity and defend the status quo and worry about office politics and be focused on your status in the community…or disengage from the real human beings in your life to tune in to the latest reality show scripted ‘surprise’ turn of events…or spend your time frantically concerned about what was just posted on Facebook timeline – what a waste.  I wonder if we really have any choice in the matter…lets quit servicing the lowest common denominator in some desperate effort to save humanity from itself, and so you can then feel better about holding children and families hostage to protect your collective bargaining rights – you get the point…the obligation should not be lost on all of us to change the rules, raise the bar and live better – all of us – than anyone has any right to believe is possible. What’s your choice?  How will you honor your obligations? Now go…change the world.

I do a number of things professionally...but most of all and the true purpose of what I do through "my work" is to provide for my family, be a good husband and great father, and try to make a difference as a world citizen...I guess it's not much more complicated than that 🙂
