When I get the chance I love watching you sleeping…I think because I am able to share your peacefulness and be captivated by your energy, beauty and innocence. You are such a little dynamo when you are awake…endless energy and determination, with a fabulous imagination and self awareness – a courageous little soul…that I am easily impressed and inspired to no end. It’s true what other parents say about cherishing these days, they are truly magical and wonderful…but they pass by far too quickly and slip by us, hastily receding into memories…there so much to hold on to, and its impossible, and it breaks our hearts. So when I see you sleeping…at least for a moment or two, it seems that time slows just a bit – enough that the blur of your childhood takes focus and impresses upon me more so the blessing of your youth, being and little soul…always leaving me smiling and sometimes so close to tears. You are my little angel…delivered to us through a miracle…and as I watch you sleep I hope you are dreaming the same wonderful and incredible dreams I am wishing upon you.
