Lunch was perfect…the food masterfully assembled and wonderfully presented…and tasted even more delicious than one could anticipate when looking over its scrumptiousness.  My lightly grilled tortilla shell filled with perfectly roasted vegetables…finished in the oven with generous portions of coalesced goat and feta cheeses, finished with herbs was soft and beautifully aromatic…every bite soothed my eager palate. Finally, the freshly prepared tossed salad of halved heads of baby lettuce, strings of pickled beet and plump crisp baby tomatoes…lightly drizzled with a savory-slightly tangy sun dried tomato dressing was epic…the coup de grace.  To top it all off the coffee was brilliant…our server funny and engaging – full of wit and a big smile – all of which made her seem an even more beautiful 50’s something…and second cup of coffee seemed even better than the first.  Finally and far too soon it was time to depart and without even looking at the bill asked if I could pay by debit…our attentive hostess hurriedly fetched the wireless machine, all the while upon her return effortlessly keying in the necessary information to complete our transaction, and passed it to me with expert hands and confident smile…I entered my debit card and then froze with a slight chuckle. Um – No…I said handing back the machine…my lunch was not that good!
